Welcome to the website for Stephy’s Cleaning. Steph is a self-employed house cleaner who loves to work her magic in all homes of all sizes and shapes around the Stoke, Devonport, Milehouse, Keyham, Stonehouse and City Centre areas, as well as further afield!

I pride myself on my high standards and as such I do not charge you per hour. I charge based on tasks and the overall job. To help me assess how much work is involved I will always come and see your property first to do a walk round with you. We can talk about any products you don’t want me to use, any smells you particularly like or don’t like as well as areas of the home that are most important to you - perhaps you take pride and joy in your new bathroom suite - and those that will need less time or areas you’d like to keep private.

I have over ten years of cleaning experience and love to leave things shining. Over time our relationship will develop, I will get to know your home and pets (I LOVE dogs by the way) and you will see your home will start gleam on a more regular basis due to us getting into a consistent routine.

So What Is Steph Like?

As someone who is led by energy and quite sensitive, I do not force awkward chat on my customers but I am more than happy to engage and socialise. A bubbly person who knows when to keep it professional. I am thorough, I believe in doing something well or not doing it at all. Building rapport with customers, knowledge of homes and friendships with pets are my favourite parts of the job but there is something equally satisfying about deep cleaning a bathroom until it shines!

how does it work?

It depends on the needs of your home and what will bring the most value to your life.

I always say start by filling out the form under “Book” to give me a good idea of what you would like. Then I visit the property to fully understand the tasks involved and later that day will send you a bespoke quote. It’s then completely your decision as to whether to proceed. If you do, I’ll be delighted and we’ll pick a day and time.

I will then respectfully ask you to pay the 50% deposit to secure the booking (the pay page has the details you need) and then read through and accept the T&C’s on the T&C’s page. Then our journey begins!

Do I need to give you a key?

It is normal for busy working customers to give me a set of keys to hold but I understand if that’s not for you - boxes containing keys which have a code to open also work. If you work from home in a home office that works fine.

How Long Does It Take?

Important work takes time

I never say how long something is going to take because:

  • I don’t charge by the hour, but by task completion

  • I like to do things right and take my time

  • If have to stay to finish, I do

My usual working hours are 9-4 but I can be gone by 3pm if the kids are coming back from school.

Extra Tasks To Make Your Life Easier?!

As well as cleaning, I can offer the following services to make your life run smoother:

  • For those busy office/school/hospital/external workers, I can let the dog out the back for a pee

  • Feed the dog/cat/fish

  • I can take the dog for a walk (extra charge on top of cleaning, depending on where and how long)

  • I can buy and bring groceries to restock your supplies (the cost is the cost of the items plus £7)
